F-Pro Microbearing Detent Arm Part of the shifting problem is that there is just too much friction in the shift mechanism. Factory Pro produces a detent arm with a slick rotating ball bearing instead of a stock scratchy riveted disc. Had anybody asked, we would have fixed it in 08. Reduce ugly and unattractive friction for virtually perfect shifting.Make your transmission "snick" into gear and stay in gear. Reducing the rotating friction allows the shift mechanism to rotate quicker and get the gear dogs more fully engaged - so they stay engaged under part throttle (as in when you are 15ft in the air over a set of triples). This arm and recalibrated F-Pro spring are the solution in helping the 450 develop bulletproof shifting. The tough, steel raced, Hybrid Ceramic Microbearing arm is the ultimate in friction reduction for this use. The STD Steel Microbearing arm is 98% as good as the Hybrid (and $20 less expensive) - and both are way slicker than the stock riveted roller. Installation: The detent arm and shift spring sit right under the clutch basket - so, it's just R&R the clutch basket to install. About an hour. "No missed shifts" 415 883-5620
(arm and spring kit) Hi Marc, I got the Pro Shift kit installed on my RMZ 450 and at the same time i had the transmission gears and other parts cleaned and polished up. I was able to hit the track and there is a definite and noticeable improvement over stock. So much it will take a few rides to get used to the ease of the shift, thanks so much for a great product. Cheers.

												2015, April -
I have now tried the 3 parts
from you guys, 10 hours of
												winter riding, 5 hours summer
												riding.
								- F-Pro Competition Shift Spring -
Before: I had at least 1-3
												missed shifts every single time
												out riding.

Now I have not had one single
												missed shift after I installed
the parts.. SUPER , bike feels
												like new, super fast shifting,
and I can focus on other
												important things out riding, not
												thinking about changing gear
proper so I don't miss the
												gears..

												THANKS! I have already recommend
this products to all my friends.
												:)

F-Pro Competition Shift Spring pn: Z95-S28-0601 (13-16 450 must use the Microbearing Detent Arm and the F-Pro spring) The stock 13-16 spring is too strong and causes wear. $39.95 |

![]() F-Pro Shift Spring Miss fewer shifts. Fewer false neutrals. Suggest the Arm and the Spring for best results. Helps speed up shifting because the shift drum rotates quicker between shifts. Combine with the F-Pro Microbearing Shift Detent Arm for the sweetest results. Our spring is SOMEWHAT stronger than the stock spring (08-12 450) - not like the overly stiff 13-16 450 stock spring. "No missed shifts" Factory Pro marc@factorypro.com |
