Initial testing shows a healthy 4-6 hp boost, starting at about 7500 rpm and peaking at indicated 12,000 rpm.
There's a 5-6 boost at 8000, a 2-3 loss at 9000 and 3-5 boost above that. It's assumed that the exhaust systems aren't designed for a properly designed intake tract.

When looking at the torque curves, you can see that the stock stacks produce a "bumpy" torque curve and the Factory Pro prototype stack stacks produce a wider, smoother, better averaging torque band.

It looks like neither the zx10 or the zx6r  like oval stacks. I might go out on a limb, here, but, I don't think that anything with a tuned intake tract likes an oval intake inlet.


All the HP figures are TRUE HP, not "dynojet HP). To get rough dynojet HP, multiply TRUE HP x 1.1 to 1.15 (depending on which dynojet dyno you want to try to mimic)

BLUE = all stock stacks, with stock exhaust

RED = 4 short stock stacks

4 short stock stacks, without FI retuning, seem to hurt the lowend (at least at full throttle and without FI retuning) and doesn't much help the topend.
Even though the EC997 dyno results show a slight gain at high rpm, the "gain" is well within a .5% HP tolerance.

1. Cooling system capacity good.
2. Bike tends to overcool, could use 185f thermostat to stabilize tuning settings and power output in cool weather.

Also I used Loctite 243-Threadlocker and Loctite 7471 Activator for your information on the nut of the roller bearing and onto the allen screw holding the star.

Remove the clutch cover - for 06/07, not required to drain oil.
Remove clutch assembly (requires impact wrench and large, deep socket)
