Feedback Hello,I wanted to email and thank you for a great product. I have an 2002 Honda RC51 and have done every mod in the book and I recently
ordered one of your shift star kits. I am totally impressed and
very pleased with the dramatic improvement I noticed in
shifting.
Out of all my mods this is in the top 5. 1 being Ohlins forks. 2
being an Ohlins rear shock. 3 being a slipper clutch. 4 being a
Scotts steering
damper and ...... 5 being the EVO SHIFT Star.
Thank you for researching and designing such a great improvement
that only us motor heads understand what performance should
be!!!!!!
Only thing that I would say ( and not a negative at all) is that
installation was not as simple as I expected from reading. But,
that's no biggie!!!
I have a killer set of tools and super sweet shop so the project
was flawless. It just took 5 hours start to finish. But, again,
we all know it
takes time to do things right.

errata......
Theory:
"Using 2 short STOCK intake velocity stacks, instead of 1 long and 1 short will
add 2 True HP to the upper mid and high rpm at the expense of 2 TRUE HP in the low
/ lower midrange"
Reality:
That's what worked very well on the VTR1000's and we never tested it or did it on
the RC51 - so - unless you know better, you are on your own -
Remember - if you change camshafts - the optimum intake tract length WILL change,
without any doubt at all!
Hint:
The Shift STAR will make shifting so slick you'll think
you have a new bike......

Maybe in next rewrite, he'll fix the ignition timing and dyno chapters... Otherwise great book with great starting ideas. |

| The extension of the laboratory
for engines of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology was completed
in about 1935. Its architect was Rudolf Otto Salvisberg (1882-1940).
He had a successful career in Berlin but returned to Switzerland after
the advent of the Nazis. His architectural style was somewhat similar
to that of Erich Mendelsohn. The staircase of the laboratory is in normal
